Lupulus Tripel glass and bottle portrait - on a canvas print

Thirsty like the wolf? This modern brewery was founded in 2004 to brew for the hostelry next door. But why is it named Lupulus? There are two reasons: the area where it is situated, the Ardennes, is known to have had a wolf population in historic times. Plus, the hops used are sourced from Slovenia and are called Humulus Lupus in Latin. This translates as 'small humble wolf' ... which is pictured on the label of this blonde tripel.
