The Beer
The Musketeers refers to the four founders of this company, all of whom are brewing engineers. In 2019 the brewery opens its doors on the site of a former brickyard next to the Wase Golf club. Taste the beers in the brewery café or on the spacious terrace. Brouwerij The Musketeers is building bridges between the Belgian tradition and the international craft world. The robust Troubadour Magma is halfway between an American IPA and a Belgian tripel. It is an unfiltered, top-fermented amber-coloured beer that re-ferments in the bottle. Dry hopping at the end of the brewing process provides an extra ‘kick’ and a burst of fruity aromas.
The tripel element tones down the hop violence of the IPA and achieves the best of two worlds, combining the fruitiness of the Belgian tripel with the bitterness and exotic aromas from the IPA. This multi-award winning beer forms part of the Troubadour range that also comprises the Troubadour Blond, Imperial Stout, Magma Maris Otter, Magma Hop Twist, Obscura, Westkust, Magma Oak and Spéciale. The brewery drew its inspiration from Belgian legends to product its Antigoon and Jack’s Precious IPA. Finally, the Bucket List range is their response to the international craft beer trend.
